Ice Spice Stars in Wendy’s Ad After Viral McDonald’s Fight

Rapper Ice Spice is appearing in a new Wendy’s commercial shortly after a viral incident at a McDonald’s in Los Angeles.

Last month, video footage showed Ice Spice sitting in a McDonald’s with a friend when a woman approached them and tried to sit at their table. The situation quickly escalated when the woman attempted to hit the rapper, leading to a brief fight. People nearby stepped in, and Ice Spice followed the woman outside. The video spread widely online.

After the incident, Ice Spice joked about it on social media, posting an edited version of the video with the caption: “This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s.” She previously worked at Wendy’s before becoming famous.

Now, she has teamed up with Wendy’s for a new advertisement. In the commercial, released May 1, Ice Spice promotes the chain’s spicy chicken sandwich. She plays on her name, calling herself “Ice Spicy,” and says, “Spice recognize spice” at the end of the ad.

Her lawyer, Bradford Cohen, said the attack was unprovoked and has been reported to the Los Angeles Police Department. He added that they may take legal action against those involved and are also looking into whether the restaurant could be held responsible for not having enough security.
